Dear Rabby, This was Laurel's last ever show. Laurel was desperate to do this gig and make this film even though he was very ill. Laurel did the show as a thank you to Club Ska and his fans who the year before put on a benefit gig for him when he was very ill and to which Prince Buster, Dennis Alcapone, Winston Francis, U-Brown and many more came and performed. Laurel died in 2005 - 6 months after this last show. The Godfather of Ska lives on in our hearts. Geno Blue - Club Ska, London.

We saw him about 8 years ago, in new orleans...and it was fantastic...but this is really sad to see. He should not be performing, the band are doing it all, he is just a sad shadow of his former wonderfull self. The people are only into it coz they spent 20 pound on the ticket and need to feel they got their money's worth. That being said, I wish him the best and he is still the godfather of ska!!!!

true...i have looked in the german wiki^^maybe it is that way because germany have so many boneheads :(.but i keep on fighting against this way to discriminate the skinhead way of life!and french was my school subject as well^^

i have seen the english-wiki-comment on skinheads. it is not good, i believe the german one is better, there is much more about rash, sharp and oi, less about styling, also some socio-schientific background. i tried also the french one, but learned, that it is hard to understand a language, which one last had at school 15 years ago and was bad in it^^

totaly agree! but the media always call them skinheads and this is something that really makes me angy! ;)
