In addition to being one the greatest movies ever made, it also contained one of the great soundtracks in movie history. I really believe, in addition to Stallone's writing, Conti's music make Rocky an extraordinary piece of cinema. This-one of the best songs.

Did a bit of research on this. Summer Madness definitely featured on the film as previously mentioned but was not released for the soundtrack album. Hence Bill Conti made this tune instead.

As far as I can remember Summer Madness is featured in the film, you can even see Rocky putting the 45 on his turntable.

right but how many of these artists would be known right now if they were not sampled by hiphop producers?? kids nowadays don't even know what records were never mind who recorded them unless its product placement familiarity within a movie or tv show...so dont hate on hiphop cause a lot of people are eating off of it and have been for at least the last 20 years or so...
