Sure everything needs a creator, however a creator could just be a reaction of seperate inanimate objects. I believe we were created but perhaps there was no motive behind our creation, maybe it just happened. When I see photos like this I imagine that in a few hundred billion years there will be a planet or planets like ours made from that cluster of gas, with organisms evolving and finally changing into an intellegent species, that will debate on issues similar to ours. It's mind boggling! :]

My dad was one of the designers on the HST. I ought to show him this vid. When I really want to annoy him, I just tell him that I believe that the moon landing is a hoax :p

I believe they use an instrument called a light spectrometer (or something like that). all elements absorb different wavelengths of light. by seeing which wavelengths they dont absorb allows us to recocgnize the element. Sorry, if it sounds complicated, try looking up light spectrometer on google or wiki.

What I want to know is how HST is able to detect oxygen in space when it cannot be seen on earth? Ever take a photo of oxygen and assign a color to it? Especially at that distance. Gas would be invisible in space like it is here on earth right? Can anyone answer that for me?

All this shows is just how special and meaningful our existence is. It shows there is something bigger out there than we can understand right now. I believe we were created for a reason. |
