I asked a near bye ET why he had not responded and he told me that he didn't want to pay the subscription costs.Just kidding

UM we have light speed capabilities since 1918 or so.The guys kept their magic a great secret for this was easy then. The grey's used humans for abduction and called it angel sightings, maybe even Virgin Birth I gather. They did enjoy their secrets, and our ignorance. It's amazing that any humans found them to work on anything ever. Apparently they tweak genetics of certain humans giving them abilities at birth and that's who they work with. The aliens know all about who is who I gather.

I know this sounds abit stupid but.... In star trek they always say that they dont make contact with an alien species until they have light speed capabilities. so maybe they have noticed us and are waiting for us to advance?just a though.

Of course we talk about technological civilization. I consider humanity in this sense a very young technological civ since we turned SETI towards the stars and started scanning for radio signals 30 years ago. But it's a good point: some civs might be sophisticated without ever developing technology, which might be a bad thing anyway: a sine qua non of self destruction. the ones surviving 4 long time might not be technological at all.va rog sa raspundeti pe engleza ca sa inteleaga si altii.

Our planet is 4.5 billion years old in an ideal location 4 life which can be determined from huge distances. If technical civs are common, throughout that vast period of time many more civs should have emerged around here. It is hard to argue that all civs in our galactic neighborhood needed this much time to develop given that there r much older Suns out there. If there was just 1 on our level 1 billion yrs ago we should have heard of them already, regardless if they survived!

Today is like looking for a needle in a haystack. With enough advancement in technology my hope is that its like watching the whole haystack for a needle to pop up.

Voyager 1 will be 16 light years from us 40k years from now and it will be 1/2 way across our galaxy 100 million years from now. If civilizations in our galaxy reached approx our level of sophistication + a little, I would expect a radio source broadcasting intelligent messages to us somewhere in our neighborhood (within 100 light years). there is no such source. SETI proved it the last 30yrs. that's because either A) civs self destruct or B) life is not as common as we thought.

what the hell do you mean what you said makes no sense, please clarify it for me cause i really don't understand ur point. earth is 4.6 billion years old but i'm only 21. life is a cycle, just cause the galaxy is old don't mean there isn't anything living anymore that's a crazy assumption.
chavezglassworks (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
we will never be anymore advanced until we start living our beliefs instead of just talking about them. how could keeping quit help anything, we have been quite and look what happened a president we didn't vote for became president. |
