Steven Stills was never a member of the Hollies. Steven Stills was from the U.S., and the Hollies were a British band.

Methinks but don't quote me on this "peternoer" that about this time those two had joined David Crosby and Neil Young to start that American icon : Crosby,Stills,Nash & Young. Still a good band tho' :)

Have you people seen video or heard audio of the Beatles live in their prime[1967-9]? Absolutely brilliant. Perfect harmonies, spot-on instrumental performances, superb stage presence. I love many of the Hollies' songs, but if this video is representative of their playing, they look like a high school band by comparison.

When I was growing up in Ontario,Canada in the 60's there were so many hometown groups that were so good! They would play at our high school dances, in the church halls around the city. There was always some new band to check out. The fun was that they not much older than we were! (16-19) Anyways, Tony Hicks looks like he is 16! Love the hair! It is all coming back in style though!

The Beatles were this good, and could have cared less if they were like the other bands. |
