Praga V3S had geared hubs back in 1953... and despite much bigger ovw than Hummer (11tons) and half of the povwer (98bhp) is much more capable off-road vehicle than Hummer.

You can't compare UAZ and Hammer,they are 2 different type of vehicles.UAZ is off road king and there are hardly few more vehicles that can compare with him or do what he does.Hummer,on the other hand,is made for desert conditions,for parading through countries that we occupied and for big fat niggers back home.

i've got one of those is's perfect for fighting the nature, but on the bitumic road its hard to handle, realy hard. You sit in large coffin with an engine. You dont see nothing in the mirrors (becouse of front window frame). Ergonomics of interror does not exist. 20 liters of liquied gas at the terrain is more then less.BTW: engine in the car at the move isnt orginal russian engine.

Difficult to maintain. Whilst they are a very large vehicle on the road, they are no larger inside than a long Landrover. Yes they are very capable, but only at immense cost!!
