just hands?boxing or karate....its obvious why boxing is one of the choices....and karate teaches you how to strike vital points so your hands are anough....but against any experienced martial artist JUST your hands wouldnt be nearly anough....

what style would you say is best if an individual just wants to learn how to strike only using hands, not elbows just hands?
billysue2 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
that wouldnt be true, some have no combat application at all.90% of effective techniques comes from 10 % of the styles(roughly)

lidell has never done kenpo he used to train kempo but uses none of it in fights only wrestling, bjj and kickboxing.Keith Hackney trained kenpo but didnt use it either under pressure.

I love mixing my style, we fight better when we understand what is the best for our body.

depends on a fighter.

there is no best style, all those who say there is either dont fight or are under 14.its all down to the individual.the best style for chuck liddell is kenpo the best for anderson silva is muay thai bj penn s best style is bjj matt hughes(who destroyed gracie on the floor) prefers american wrestling.bjj is an awesome style but to say its the best is an absolute joke shows no real understanding or fight knowledge, just another dude who watches ufc whilst wearing a tap out t shirt

sk8pirata (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
