Probably true to an extent, though I suspect if they came out now they would carve out a niche for themselves. But I agree they they probably wouldn't get as much mainstream attention.

this just point's out a fact that look's sell , these guy's now a day wouldn't get any radio time even though the guy can carry a tune and they know how to play instrument's and the music is good , they just don't look the part

It doesn't need to be better. It's not the same exact song. Supertramp was happy to let them use it. Both songs stand alone.
