Didn't much care for Lawrence, though I did enjoy Godfather, and enjoyed Casablanca more. I don't know how I'd rate Citizen Kane next to them, but I'm fine just enjoing it for what it is.

You know other movies were made besides the generic "classics", right? Even in the past. Try watching some foreign films and american films that are actually interesting.

Also there was the little fact that William Randolf Hearst the man who most wanted to see this film destroyed was also alot of these critics best friend, Hetta Hopper who had more clout than almost any critic back then made a crusade out of trashing Kane for Hearst. |
