he's too much of a showman, no doubt he feels the music, but i question his scincerity sometimes. I could play this as a sophmore in high school. Its standard rep for any pianist..no big deal.

Haha urban myth! Lang Lang is better than the 5 browns. They're like the new pianists.

Something that bothers me is, most notably at the end of the first cadenza, that he loves to flatten his fingers a lot, and very unnecessarily. Hopefully no students will try to copy that O.o

500$ i dont think so, here in sweden you can go to his concert for like 50$. Maybe your heard it wrong. And still a world class piano performer dosent practics 2 hour a day i am sure.

His technique is fantastic and he has a brilliant love of piano that is obviousbuthe tries to hard to improvise and loses a lot of the flowBeing a piano teacher for 13 years I can play this piece but he ruins everything me and anyone else works for

I agree.I like Lang Lang a bit but he's a bit of a popularity stunt to get the type of people who don't like classical music to like classical music. His technique is phenominal, however I find he plays his dynamics exagerative (ie. his piano is pianissimo and his forte is fortissimo). And the facial expressions are ridiculous and deliberately manifested. There's an urban myth his record label told him to make them, and that's the reason he's stopped making them recently.

Please use a dictionary, and while you're at it, pick up a book about music.
