I've seen it myself through a friend, a quadraplegic from birth, who was charged by child services of striking a child and had to go through years of court to prove that she couldn't have done it.

Sometimes the clock watching comes from knowing they have to process 20 more cases by noon or those people won't get their resources in time. There is so much need, no matter what institution social workers function in: prisons, hospitals, schools, agencies, etc. And only so many social workers to fill that need. So two suggestions: 1-try to only deal with SW'ers who have a MASTERS in SW. Then you'll know they chose the career sincerely. 2-show up with paper work in order so we can HELP YOU

Merrygrey, and all other aspiring social workers - why don't you really educate yourselves and watch some videos on my channel - see the barrel of rotten apples you are diving into - if you truly want to do good in the world, there are other ways. CPS destroys children, families, and civilization.
