Autism? Perhaps he's just a (I can't spell for my life) svont (that's how it's pernounced, anyways), someone who excels in one area, but lacks in others. It could be someone who can't cook or make friends but play piano well, to something this radical, but it isn't an excuse. He simply has great memory, and that doesn't mean he sucks at other stuff, he simply spoke a little late.Nothing wrong with that, quite amazing, actually.

Autism tends to be stereotyped and overhyped...I disagree with naming autism as the cause of intelligence (or "genius") of any variety, be it mathematical or mnemonic.
