emocore, derived from hardcore. a movement from a post punk esoteric starting with bands like the rites of spring and sunny day real estate. it wasn't dyed hair and depressing outlooks on life back then. just music with punk influences but with more emotional lyrics

Elegia, I am sorry to disappoint, but it was not a work back then. People used to call it "atonal" rock. Even then, we used to call it good music.I was a 90s child and you can trust me that I never heard the EMO until 2002.
