Love the way this balances between parody and homage to the original. The extended version of this is great, too. By the way...dutch singer Andre Hazes also did a version - entirely humour-free - with dutch lyrics, called: "Met kerst ben ik alleen", meaning I'll Be Alone During Christmas. If you feel the need to see this, the video is on Youtube :)

Good observation... that chinese takeaway must be a good hour's walk off his route. All I can say is, that MUST be some nice food. :-)

Very true. There's something fishy going on. Perhaps this is why they went on to write 'Waves'.

Pure, pure, pure magic. Great melody, great rhythm, great lyric, great concept- coming alive when love walks in the door. When everything before was unmemorable. And I like the way the lads updated it slightly with Dallas and Barbara Cartland. And there's just enough humour in the video too. First class.

How come it takes Agnetha/Neil 3 HOURS to get home from work, when it only took 1 and a quarter hours to get to work that morning? Even accounting for a detour to pick up a Chinese takeaway, that's a ridiculous commute. However, this is one of my favourite songs, both Abba and Blancmange.
