lol, dude, Borge is combining humour with the art of music. by doing so, he makes it much more appealing to the modern audience so they will have more respect for this kind of music.this piece is not directed by borge because the orchestre just ignore him. you are not offending Borge but the orchestre itself and the people in it, if you say that this sounds terrible.

I'm amazed that so many people are upset at this video. He was one of the best music/comedians in existence, paving the way for people like P.D.Q. Bach. Most composers I know (and being one myself, I know many) would feel honored to have their music butchered by someone like Borge. He is proof that music doesn't have to be serious to be brilliant.

he's disgracing the real composer of this song, bedrich smetna, by butchering the song in every way that he can think of. if he wants to be a commedian, fine, but dont mix with composing music because it sound terrible in my oppinion.

he is a comedian. if you dont appreciate music than you dont know who he is. he was a great pianist and comedian. combining the two made him famous.

I guess when you hear the bang the audience thought the violinist had shot him self, as Borge directs the lady that sat next to him, to take his seat.But what he really shot was his violin. Hence the it is broken.

I think this video is ultimate proof that conductors are useless ^^ The orchestra function perfectly fine on their own.
