has anyone else noticed this is pretty far off sync? i can't tell if its just my comp or if the vid actually is.(pay close attention to when dizzy breathes)

this footage is almost 60 years old.how do I know?1.Parker was born in 1920,Dizzy in 1917 so you tellthat neither of them are 40 in this footage.2.The host mentioned the award that Bird received was for best alto sax of 1951.3.Bird died in 1955.

All the arguing over someone saying "boy" reminds me a bit of a story a guy i work with told me. He had his dog in his van and the back window was broke out so why this black guy was walking by the back of the van the dog acted like he was going to jump out and get him but he didn't... it scared the guy I guess and he got all mad and said to the driver, "hey man your dog almost bit me! (driver)Well did he bite you, are you going to make it? Do you want me to let him out to bite you? hahaha

Incredible that there is footage this old. Thanks for posting! I am black and missed the "boy" statement until reading some comments. I'm not convinced that it was racist, as the white men were both quite a bit older than Bird and Diz. It seemed that the hosts were trying to be respectful: The guy first said "Diz" and then corrected himself and called him "Dizzy." Parker was 31 at the time of this recording.
