Yes, that is indeed what I'm trying to say. Acknowledging a concept as a delusion, and hypothesising on the origin of that delusion, is not by any means the same as saying the concept holds water. What he said simply rips god out of eternal existence, and gives it an origin in human imagination and motive, and thus follows that God is just that -> a product of our imagination and motive. But God is still just a concept, and it doesn't make God any more real than Mickey Mouse in a comic book.
