FIGHT! Realistic & Practical Tactics for Concealed Carry

Part I: After much research into human nature we, here at ITC, decided to integrate the use of firearms and unarmed combat skills. We developed these techniques since there are a large portion of people who think that when you have a gun in your hands you should do something different than you would if you were unarmed. The fact that you have a gun does not necessarily mean your tactics should change, but rather that you have another option available to you. Your gun is a tool and NOT the solution to your problem!Knowing WHEN AND IF you should draw your gun is critical to your survival. Our philosophy is to MOVE FIRST, DISTRACT (if possible), and then ATTEMPT to draw your gun, if that is the thing for you to do! Drawing and firing your gun will NOT guarantee your survival! Your drawing and shooting skills are only a small part of the formula for survival.

"I live in Illinois and CCW is not an option"Thanks to Barack Obama and his gun-banning friends in Illinois. All the more reason we gun owners need to show up next week and stop that sneaky little prick from turning the whole country into the Chicago ghetto, complete with near-total gun bans.Fortunately, here in Virginia we have a pretty enlightened view -- open carry state, and "shall-issue" CCW. Still waiting for the Democrats here to fuck that up, though.

Advanced Pistol Fighting is an integration of unarmed combatives with the use of a pistol. So, whether or not you have a gun, you use pretty much the same tactic. We believe this video is great for states such as IL and other states that you cannot carry in because the information is still valid. I don't know of any other video on the market that can make that claim!!!

Thanks. We are getting ready to release a new video this Friday (October 24th). My hand guestures are MUCH better! I don't know how much we will post of the new video because it is our premiere course-Advanced Pistol Fighting. You might be interested in it since you cannot carry in IL.

Good video Brian. The information was good and clear. I hope all of the negative comments about your hand gestures and speech do not stop you from making another production. I value these videos. I hope they will prove useful someday. I live in Illinois and CCW is not an option. I have a 3.5" spring-assisted blade, but it isn't going to hold ground against an opponent with a gun.

Yeah, we get that a lot about cross stepping. It is normally those who are not coordinated or do not understand how to do it correctly. I am not saying that cross stepping is always a good way to move, but I've been doing it 20+ years and have yet to fall.

Creating distance is not "the" answer to any situation. Whether or not you have a weapon on you, there are times you should create distance and there are times you should move in on the attacker.

I agree with alot of what he's saying, first off. Thanks for posting this guy's shit, alot of people need to know this. Now, not to be nit picky, but in our weapons discipline, we always were told not to cross-step. In MCMAP they also told us not to cross-step. If in impact occurs while those legs ain't squared, you're 'out of the fight'. On a side note, any of you civvies ever heard of 'intuitive fire'? Great for an unexpected rush, but requires extensive practice. Semper FiWG

Is the idea of creating distance being desirable become invalid if you yourself do not have a weapon?

be ready at all times..though that level of mental awareness is good, i will tell you whats not right.. grab your gun at the first sight of trouble?? that can get you killed or even in jail. A weapon is a last resort in dire struggle to keep one from certain physical harm or even death. you can not brandish your weapon at every person who seems suspicious. I live in Los Angeles... EVERYONE looks suspicious, and it's hard to tell what their intentions are.

Control the head and you control the body for the most part.
