In my opinion, you don't understand nothing of philosophy. In particular, Nietzsche were not a advocate of totalitarism. Heidegger, with Husserl, Foucault, Paci, Banfi, Derrida, Merleau-Ponty and Sini was one of the most importanto philosopher of the 20th century.

Neither Farabi nor Plato are existentialists.Neither Farabi nor Plato thought there was an "abyss".They teach that there is something, an order, that they call "nature". If there is "nature", there can be no "abyss". A "abyss" necessarily implies that there is no intelligible order, and that man is almost damned to ignorance and confusion, or forbidden to know an order.

rabmunch, is Farabi's Plato an existentialist, the grand artist who is aware of the abyss and understands that the prophet is one of the greatest artists?

If one wants to understand the spirit of Heidegger, the trajectory of his kind of thinking, and the nerve of his idea of Dasein, the essays of Leo Strauss on Heideggerian "Existentialism" are invaluable. These can be accessed freely at "internet archive [dot] org", searching under the terms "Strauss" & "Heidegger". Many other related useful texts are also down-loadable there (on Husserl, for instance).

Further (cont from last post) Heidegger gives the most eloquent defense of totalitarianism that we have. Heidegger and Nietzsche both desired to give totalitarian thought a rhetorical form, so that it is tolerated in multicultural cultures, then used as a tool used to subvert democracy and impose totalitarian politics. British law recently was changed (for the 1st time) to permit Sharia law as well. This proposal was put together by Edward Gosse, a Heidegger scholar. put the pieces together

Heidegger said that the primary purpose of my thought is defending the inner truth of Nazism'. this is in: Rectors address to Frieburn in 1933, in his final writing Only a god can save us 1976, and in the Introductory 1937, 1934 lectures. He didnt just conform to because he had to, he truly believed in nazism. Also, his best student, Karl Lowith released conversations with H.ger - being and time was written primarily for the purpose of espousing Nazism, Lowith writes. Guys, research!!

I think Heidegger is one of the most brilliant minds of the 20th century, but I do not excuse his role during nazism. The fact that other people (and philosophers) either stayed low (Jaspers) or emigrated (Ahrend) shows that he hadn´t had to do what he did
