Yes, Petrucciani is a great player, but Miles & this great "Second Quintet" [as well as the other musicians who went thru Miles' band in the 60's, i.e. Jarrett, Zawinul, Corea, et al] pretty much wrote the 'post-bop' playbook that just about everyone who came after them had to refer to....
