oohhh man.. first heard the band at age of 8. since then fan of the music. Jazz/Fusion/Funk/Pop it doesn't matter... I like what I'm hearing.

Jazz fusion = merging jazz with elements of funk, rock, or pop (or many other genres.) This is jazz fusion...

fusion is simply jazz that mixes jazz elements with elements of other genres. casiopea is simply jazz fusion with funk elements incorporated, rather than typical jazz fusion that incorporates rock. it may be catchy, but it sure as hell is not kenny g jazz pop.

i thnk their genre is jazz fusion. it's a fusion between jazz and rock. for me it's not that simple to say it's not jazz fusion bcoz it's not well sophisticated like coltraine does. you should know that in every region, jazz fusion is differrent. 4 ex. if u compare between casiopea and mezzoforte or with Chick corea. they r jazz fusion band.but hav differrent color. so the color of the music itself depends on where that band coming from, their culture. ^^ that's my opinion.

well everyone had their point of view....but, according to wikipedia, their genre is jazz fusion.. and i think wikipedia is a quite reliable source...

i'm just telling you who the recognized masters of jazz fusion are.this is kenny g music...recognized as jazz pop....not saying this isn't good music...read the beginning of my post....but it's not jazz fusion....this music does not contain that level of sophistication...listen to Coltraine then come back and tell me this is jazz fusion

i said they were great!!...did you read that part?...i'm saying this is NOT jazz fusion....the bass player is awesome but this is jazz pop...i'm not a hater just calling it what it is....
